Paliouri is a village and community on the peninsula of Kassandra, Halkidiki, Greece. It is located among the low mountains near the southeasternmost tip of the peninsula, Cape Paliouri. The community includes the small villages of Agios Nikolaos and Xyna. Paliouri is 2 km from the sea, 5 km east of Agia Paraskevi and 7 km southeast of Pefkochori. Near the modern village is the ancient town of Theramvos, which survived until Roman times as a village administratively dependent on the Roman colony of Cassandreia.

In the summer months, many people choose Paliouri for an afternoon stroll through the narrow streets of the village, for dining and for enjoying the local meat and fresh fish in the tavernas of the area.

Paliouri beach, also called Chrouso, is a beautiful bay with crystal clear waters. There are many beach bars along the coast where parties are held. You can engage in sporting activities such as water sports, beach volleyball, etc.

It is believed that an ancient city called Theramvos, mentioned by Herodotus, was located in this area. The ancient city was forced by force to help Xerxes. A number of archaeological finds attest to the existence of this city. The current name Paliouri comes from Paliouria, the shrubs used by its inhabitants to enclose their homes.
